We are always trying to go above and beyond for our customers as a VMware TAM and managing open SRs is just one way that we do this. It also helps to do things in this way so that the TAM can respond on your behalf if that is appropriate and necessary, directly into the SR ensuring the response is captured as part of the current SR.
